Yesterday, via a trio of Tweets, Goose Island announced that the highly anticipated 2nd release of 2011 Bourbon County Stout will be draft only.

That's pretty bad news for hoarders collectors who missed out on the first release of 2011 BCBS or simply didn't get as much as they would like to fill verticals, age, share, trade or drink at home.

On the flip side, Bourbon County fans living in states receiving kegs may have an easier time finding a pour without chasing delivery trucks or buttering-up to the local beer guy. Per Twitter, the brewery expects Bourbon County kegs to begin leaving the brewery for a homer-tear-inducing list of states beginning the week of May 14th.

Should be interesting to see how this impacts 2011 BCBS beer auction prices, as many prospective buyers who were previously holding off for the second release become bidders — and sellers realize they're sitting on a hotter commodity than expected.

It doesn't take a genius to make this prediction: expect to see higher prices for 2011 Bourbon County Stout beer auctions.
